Kagami Daira (Mirror Flats) is an unusual and beautiful collection of small ponds on the slope of a mountain ridge in Japan's Kita Alps. Views of some spectacular mountains can be had from here; however, on this particular day the rain had paused slightly and I took advantage of the break and captured this scene here. Shortly after the rain began falling again. September, 2009 Minolta 801si alpha, 24-85mm Velvia 50
Tsubakurodake, Kita Alps, Nagano, Japan. August, 2000. Velvia 50, 35mm
While driving through Nova Scotia, I passed this view of a lone flower pot at the Bay of Fundy. September 2005 Minolta 801si alpha, 24-85mm Velvia 50
A quiet scene at one of Canada's most famous picturesque spots in the Canadian Rockies. September 2005 Minolta 801si alpha, 24-85mm Velvia 50
