Yokose River

 

I am nearly ready to publish my next book with blurb.com. The theme is Saitama Prefecture in Japan. I have been collectiong images from the mountains over the past year or so to go with the river and rural scenery I already have.

 

One of my most recent outings brought me to the Yokose River in Yokose Town. I was initially attracted by the look of the trees as I drove along the road but after I stopped the car to seek out a good viewpoint, I found a beautiful ravine below.

 

I spent nearly an hour down there, shooting away. This photo became my favourite. I shared it on Flickr and it soon made the "in explore" group and gathered close to 3,000 views and over 100 likes after the first 36 hours. For me, that's pretty good!
